A complete mural reveals hard work and patience in an artist. The numerous complications that come within a mural are far more than we can imagine. An artist must be attentive of the paint and wall where they plan to work on a project which will determine the quality of the image once it is complete. On page twelve Hale says, “The foundation on which the plaster for our painting is to go is of the greatest importance for the life of a fresco is that of its ground. This may be of brick, stone, concrete, hollow tile, wire lath, or any material on which a lime or cement plaster can be securely laid”.
